The Frontend of Graphic Design We take advantage of all of the industry standard tools for web media to create the perfect solution for your product. Whether you need a complete website, branding services, flash, or other graphic design, we've got the right tools and experience for the job. Our team is totally confident in our ability to transform your concept into a tangible form, while utilizing the best technology available. We work closely with all of our clients to make sure they have full control over development. If our client is unsure of the best way to approach it, we'll put our heads together and make several concepts to help choose the best direction. The Backend of Websites Behind every great website, is hundreds of lines of code that structures and gives functionality to it. Because so many different browsers exist that all parse code differently, it's important for the backend structure of your site to be backwards compatible with as many of them as possible. Poorly designed websites can look completely different, even broken, in browsers not used by the designer if left untested. This hurts your business as you lose those potential customers if they can't properly navigate your site. Since mid 2007, Gratisites has been incorporating full CSS, valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional websites in all of our new projects. This method of page design is common amongst the largest websites on the internet as it's compatible with every modern browser, and gives flexibility beyond what was possible with tabular websites. With CSS, we can easily create workarounds for older, less common browsers to provide the appropriate experience for those users as well. Example of CSS: Through the simple use of classes, CSS can control nearly every element in your site's design. These classes can be attached to many different tags, but most commonly the DIV tag. In this example, our goal is to demonstrate how a DIV and a class can come together to provide the desired result. We're trying to make a simple box, with a nice dotted border around it. First, we'll create the div with the class defined and the text we'd like it to wrap around. Which would look like: Hello, World! Now we would define the class in our stylesheet, The final product looks like: Hello, World! With a few changes to the class variables, we can get this result from the same tag: Hello, World!
As you can see, CSS is very flexible, we can control your entire website and make changes of any magnitude through just 1 file. If you're ready to learn more about how we can take your site to the next level with cutting edge technology, request your free consultation today. |
